WEDDING BELLS

HENDERSON—DUNLOP Hydrangeas in shades of pink and lavender had been beautifully arranged in All Saints’ Anglican Church, Matamata, on February 18 for the marriage of Jean, first daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Dunlop, of Waharoa, and Fredrick Percy, fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Henderson, of Auckland. Posies of flowers also maiked the pews for the guests. The ceremony was performed by Canon F. Quintrell. The wedding music was played by Mr. Ingham. An exquisite gown of cream embossed satin was worn by the bride, who entered the church with her father. The high-waisted bodice of the dress was conventionally finished with a'Peter Pan collar, and the long sleeves, which were slightly puffed at the shoulders, ended in points at the wrists. The moulded skirt merged gracefully into a circular train, the back panel being finished with tiny satin buttons. The beautiful veil, of cream tulle, was attached to a coronetted headdress of orange blossoms. A sheaf of J ammarylis lilies and gladiola gave an artistic touch to the dainty ensemble.

Rose-pink and lavender diamond taffeta formed the attractive frocks of the two bridesmaids, the Misses Mary Dunlop and Doris Dunlop, sisters of the bride. Their frocks were made on princess lines, and were fashioned with square necklines and short puffed sleeves. Tiny matching buttons ornamented the backs from the necklines to the waistlines. Net hats and flowers in shades of pink and lavender were worn on the hair, and these colours were repeated in the bouquets.

Little Beverly Henderson, niece of the bridegroom, who attended as flowergirl, was dressed in a Victorian frock of apple-green taffeta. Green velvet ribbon encircled the waistline, and a green taffeta halo was held in place with ribbon tied under the chin. A Victorian posy of flowers was carried.

Master Russell Henderson, nephew of the bridegroom, was pageboy. He was attired in black velvet trousers and a cream coin spotted velvet blouse.

The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. Charles Henderson (Auckland), as best man, and by another brother, Mr. Herbert, Henderas groomsman.
