To-morrow Mrs. Eliza Bew, of m Tatuanui, will celebrate her 89th birthday. For the past 14 years Mrs. Bew has lived with her daughter, Mrs. W. Innes, of Tatuanui. and for many years previously she resided in K < the Te Aroha district. On Christmas Day there was an interesting 1 reunion of Mrs. Bew’s family, five generations being pre-, * sent. These were Mrs. Bew, her youngest daughter, Mrs.. W. Innes, her grand-daughter, Mrs. H. Williams. of Te Aroha West, her great-grand-daughter, Mrs. S. Hines/ of Te Aroha West, and finally Baby Hines, who is just under a year old.' Mrs. Bew spent her early years in Stotfold, Bedfordshire, and came out to New Zealand with her husband and three young children 64 years ago. A very young fellow passenger was Mr. Dan Hickey, of Tauhei. It is pleasing to know that Mrs. Bew still enjoys fairly good health. A wide circle of friends will wish her ) “many happy returns of the day."
