The Matamata Rifle Club concluded its championship series on Saturday with a, double shoot at 900 yards, the last 10 shots counting for the title. The championship was won by R. D. Reynolds with the total of ' 230 out of 250, and L. H. Forde, with • 229, was second. L, H. Forde won the J Neil Johnstone Cup (Handicap) with 241 out of 250, and H. R. King was ; second with 240.
