CONTINUED SUCCESS
19th ANNUAL SHOW Splendid Display of Stock Gate Takings £134 Continuing its success of recent years the Morrinsville A. and P. Society equalled last year’s records at its nineteenth annual show on Wednesday. Livestock entries exceeded the 700 mark, and there were exhibits from all over South Auckland. Once again the show was held ia perfect autumn weather. A breeze made conditions pleasant for the large attendance of spectators. The showgrounds were in excellent order, the green turf of the main ring making an ideal setting for the principal events of the show.
At the gates the sum of £133 4s 6d in cash was taken. This accounts for several thousand spectators; but be 7 sides these there were many members, exhibitors and others who had passes. The society has 400 members this year, to whom two tickets were issued. PRESIDENT’S TENTH YEAR Wednesday’s show was the tenth at which Mr. W. J. Aitken has carried out the presidential duties. Mr. Aitken was president for the first time when the 1929 show was held, and had been re-elected unopposed at and had been re-elected unopposed at every subsequent annual show thoroughly his services are appreciated by members of the society.
