B CLASS STATION WANTED The desirability of securing a B class radio broadcasting station for South Auckland was explained to the Morrinsville Borough Council last week by a deputation consisting of Messrs. S. Bloomfield, representing the Morrinsville branch of the Labour Party, and J. Robertson, representing the Morrinsville DX Club. There was a possibility that the station might he established in Morrinsville.

Councillors agreed that it would be an advantage to have an additional broadcasting station in the Waikato, although they were not able to say whether it was necessary. '

The Mayor remarked that if there was a B class station in the country it might arrange programmes at times to suit farmers, whereas there had been complaints that the city stations were off the air when many country people came in for a late breakfast.
