In the intermediate examination conducted by Trinity College (London), Desmond Earle Clark, of Tirau, secured very high marks—B6— for violin. Last year this boy secured a silver medal in a similar examination. Clark is only 12 years of age and shows great promise .of becoming an outstanding violinist, not through his examination marks particularly, but because of his love of the instrument.
