OKOROIRE PASADE The first parade of therecentlyformed Tirau-Okoroice-Te Pof branch of the. (East Coast) Mounted Rifles was held at Corporal Ken Dee’s farm last week. S.S.-M- Milne, of Paeroa, was in charge, of.the parade, and he was assisted by . Sergt. K. Dodds,. of Lichfield, who brought a contingent wpth:7 him from Puta—-
rum. There was an excellent muster on parade and good field work was done. A splendid shooting range up to 600 yards has been made available on the farm and good shooting practice was carried out on this. The best score was registered by Trooper W. C. Brown, whose tally was almost wholly “ bulls.” ' Several new members have joined i the .troop, which is a most enthusiastic one, and other young men in ' the Te "Poi and Tirau districts have expressed their intention of joining up.
