Women’s Institutes.
TURANGA-O-MOANA I. . ' There was a good attendance at the November meeting of the Turanga-o-moana Women ? s Institute, over which Mrs. F. Barugh presided. Mrs! S. C. Wills and Mrs. Cronin were Elected as new members. There were , nine entries for a home competition for the best article made from rubber. Mrs. S. Harding secured first prize with a nicelyfinished shopping bag. The second and third prizes went to Mrs. Mullane and Miss Mullane respectively. An interesting report on the Waikato East Federation • meeting and the visit of Mrs. Watt was given by Mrs. T. R. Harding. ' Arrangements were made for a Christmas tree and party for the children of the district. A demonstration of, the method of making Teneriffe wheels: % was - given by Mrs. Mullane, who displayed a sample of the work. The demonstration was greatly appreciated, and Mrs. Mullane was accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
The hostesses were Mesdames Hazeltop and Mullane.
