AUCTION REPORT
Mr. Milton Morison, auctioneer, reports that there was a good attendance at last week's sale. Following are some of the prices realised: Ducks and ducklings, 9d and Is Id each; laying ducks, Is Bd, 2s; killers, Is, Is lid; white laying hens, 2s 4d, 2s 8d; black laying hens, 2s 3d, 3s; killing hens, 2s, 2s lOd; roosters, 2s, 2s 6d; turkey gobblers, 10s, 12s 6d; hens, 4s, 6s. There was a keen demand for all poultry. Blue budgerigars, 7s 6d; green budgerigars, ss, 6s; canaries, pair and cage, £1; cabbages, 2d and 3d each; sugar bags, 2s; rhubarb, Is 3d half dozen;
lettuce, 2d; new potatoes, 4s 6d, ss, bag; seefi potatoes, 2s, 3s, cwt.; gooseberries, 3d and 4d pound; red currants, 4d pound; strawberries, best Is 6d, others Is, jam 6d Second-hand furniture sold well, and more was wanted. ' j;: - f\ .
