The rail-tractor to be used for shunting in the Putaruru railway yards was unloaded and assembled on Tuesday and was placed in service yesterday. This will enable the locomotive crew stationed in Putaluru in the past to be transferred, two of the staff going to Tauranga and the third to’Frankton Junction.
