MATAMATA REGENT A wonderful double-star programme will be shown at the Regent to-night (Thursday) and Friday. “Pursuit,” featuring Chester Morris and Sally Eilers, is a fast-moving comedy-romance full of thrills and gripping drama;, while “Prescott Kid,” featuring Tim McCoy, is. a thrilling Western drama. Something entirely fresh is promised the patrons of the popular Regent Theatre when the ali-New Zealand production, “ On the Friendly Road,” opens its season this Saturday. Far and away ahead of any previous Dominion production in J story, acting, photography, amf sound, the picture features that .■tremendously popular radio personality, “ Uncle Scrim,” supported by a cast of brilliant repertory players. Of special interest to the racing fraternity will be the Melbourne Cup of 1936, Showing the whole of this classic race from beginning to end, and which is included in Saturday and Monday’s programme.
