Wedding Bells.

GALLAGHER—GIBB A pretty wedding was solemnised in tiie iviethodist Church, Paeroa, recently, between Miss Birdie Gibb, second cnuigmer of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Gibb, Paeroa, and Mr. George Albert Gallagher, eldest son of Mr. "and Mrs. J. G. Gallagher, of Wardvillc. „ Rev. R. Richards performed the ceremony and Miss Winter presided at the organ. .. . • _ | The bride was for some years in charge of the Morrinsville office of the Thames Valley"'- Electric Power Board, and was captain, of the Morrinsville ladies’ hockey team. The bride, who was given'away by her "father, looked charming., in a long, graceful frock of ivory Chantilly lace, cut on slim-fitting lines, the skirt falling to a sweeping train, with cowl neck, sleeves and-, trimmings of tiny buttons and orange l.ossom. She ware' a tulle veil held in place with a coronet of orange blossom, and carried a sheaf of cream roses and stock. In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss Q. Gibb (sister of the bride) and Miss M. Gallagher (sister of the bridegroom). Both were similarly attired in flowing orange chiffon velvet frocks, fronts and sleeves heavily ruched, and finished with silver lame collars. Each wore silver halos and carried bouquets of Iceland poppies to tone. Little Heather Pullar (neice of the bride) made a dainty little flower girl dressed similarly to the bridesmaids, with Varden hat of silver, and sheaf of Iceland poppies. t Mr. L. Bregman, of Te Mata, Raglan, was best man, and Mr. ML Leask, Eureka, groomsman. During the wedding ceremony a solp, “ The Flight of the Ages,” was rendered by Mr. Esmond Beggs, of Papakura.

A reception was held in the Centenary Hall where the guests were received by the bride’s mother, who was attired in a frock of brown floral faille with brown satin coat and pandan straw hat. She carried a bouquet of autumn berries. She was assisted by Mrs. Gallagher, mother of the bridegroom, who wore a grey woollen suit with military jacket and hat to tone. Later Mr. and Mrs. Gallagher left on a honeymoon tour to the north, the bride wearing a smart green woollen suit with , military jacket, hat, shoes and accessories to tone. .
