RITUAL CONTEST Patetere Elect Officers Last week Bro. S. J. Woodcock, P.G., assisted by Bro. N. S. Griffiths, P.G., and Bro. T. E. Stanley, Group Officer, all of the Matamata lodge, journeyed to Tirau to judge a ritual contest which is being held between the Patetere (Tirau), .Selwyn (Putaruru) and Matamata lodges of the Independent Order of Oddfellows. , . The Selwyn and Matamata louges will be judged at a later date. The election of officers for the Patetere lodge resulted as follows: N.G., Bro. IF. I. H. Gainsford; V.G., Bro. E. J. Ramsay; F.S., Bro. S. A. Scott; E.S., Bro. F. D. Morriss. During the evening Bro. E. B. Allen, who is to be married shortly, was presented with a set of carvers as a token of esteem by Bro. E. T. Stanley- on behalf of members. Bro. Stanley wished Bro. Allen all happiness and commented highly on the .fine work he nau uOIi e for his lodge. Bro, Allen suitably responded.
