matamatX regent “ The Thirty-nine Steps,” John Buchan’s thrilling romance of mystery and adventure will have its final screening to-night (Monday). The featured players are Robert Donat, the brilliant star of “ Monte Cristo,” and Madeleine Carroll. “ The Thirtynine Steps ” is an outstanding example of first-class screen entertainment.
“ Dressed to Thrill,” a bright and tuneful picture of lovers in Paris, launches Tutta Rolf, Fox Film’s glamorous new European star, on her American film career. Miss Rolf is coupled with Clive Brook in the romantic lead of the picture which comes to the Regent this Tuesday and Wednesday. In a screen play bristling with the brilliant dialogue and mirthful situations, Miss Rolf plays the role of a jilted woman who had revenge at her finger tips but gave it up because love proved too strong. Two new hit tunes by Lew Pollack and Paul Webster were especially written for Miss Rolf to sing in “ Dressed to Thrill.”
