MORRINSVILLE CALF CLUB
JUDGING at schools
The MOrrinsville C'dlf Club’s good work was in evidence before the holidays, when children paraded, their calves at their schools for judging by Mr. W. Montgomerie, of. Te Aroha. After ..visiting ail the schools Mp,. Montgomerie- expressed'', the. opinion that the calves were /of a better, standard as regards dairying type than last year, and some really .fine calves.were paraded, It seemed that the information imparted- by the competitions during previous years was producing good results. There were fewer calves, that had been too well done,, the children now understanding that dairy /, heifers must not .be over-fat.
Certificates of merit were presented to the, exhibitors of the first four placed calves at each school, and button badges with the lettering “Member Morrinsville Calf Club” were given to each child bringing a calf to the school parade.
