Wedding Bells.

MORRIS—CURRY A wedding of interest to the Putaruru district was celebrated at Holy IViiiity Presbyterian Church, Akaroa, on waster Monday, win-n Kathleen Julia, eldest daughter of Mr. and M*s. S. D. Curry, Long Bay road, A»aroa, was married to Arnold Ernest, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Morris, of Mamaku. The Rev. W. R. Bartle officiated. Mr. Morris is a member' of the Putaruru post office staff. Miss Mazie Kingston was organist.

Miss. Noel Hartstone, of Hamilton, (the bride’s cousin) and Miss Norah Curry, sister of the bride, attended as bridesmaids, and Shirley Stewart, of Robinson’s Bay, was flower girl. Mr. Robert Curry, the bride’s brother, was best man, and Mr. Edward HeWitt was groomsman. The bride was given away by her. father. Magnolia French .velvet made the bride’s , effective gown, which was cut oh classical lines. A row of velvet buttons trimmed the back of the while a pearl brooch was pinned to the neckline in front. The cowled sleeves were drawn in at the elbow into long, fitted cuffs. Her veil of deep cream tulle was bordered with lace and held, to the head with a half circlet of silver and orange blossom. She carried a sheaf of deep cream chrysanthemums.

The maids, wore unusual gowns of wine-leaf velvet made on long, slender lines, with cowled necklines at the back trimmed with a row of buttons. The upper sleeves, were also cowled and lined with gold lame. Their quaintly shaped felt hats were upturned at the back, and their bouquets were of bronze chrysanthemums and autumn-tinted begonias. The little flower girl wore a frock of the same material, cut on similar lines, and carried a dainty basket of flowers.

One hundred guests, including a .number of relatives from the North island, were later entertained in the Presbyterian Sunday schoolroom adjoining the chui’ch. The bride’s mother wore a wineberry marocain I frock relieved with beige, a tailored ’ coat in the same material with a musquash fur collar and a matching fur fet hat. Her pretty posy was of parma violets. The bridegroom’s mother choose a brown winds,wept velvet ensemble relieved' with beige and a hat to tone. Scarlet' pactus dahlias made her beautiful Miss Gwen Curry, a sister df the bride, wore a smart saxe blue suit ' with a wide felt hat to match.' r.. - j The 1 bride’s going-away frock was of brown windswept wool marocain with touches of beige at the neck and sleeves, and with it she wore a beige tailored coat and a hair-felt hat to match. , , Mr. and- Mrs. A.
