FRANKTQN Advanced Rates for Sheep J There was again a good yarding of fat wethers and ewes at the Frankton saleyarus on Tuesday. Competition for botn classes was keener and last week’s advanced rates were fully maintained. One pen of prime wethers realised 27s 3d, and two pens of prime fat ewes averaged 20s 3d. A smaller entry of fat lambs met with a ready sale at schedule rates. Ox beef was yarded in large numbers, with good quality lines in firm demand. Quotations for plainer cattle showed no alteration. There was a full yarding of both cow and heifer beef, with a large proportion of good quality, for which late rates were fully maintained. Second quality animals sold at equal to last sale. Boner bulls sold at schedule rates. There was a smaller yarding of both fat and store pigs, baconers being very firm at late rates, while porkers were also keenly sought after.
