ROCKY DOWNS CLUB Notes and Comments Owing to the bad weather the championship semi-finals were postponed, but members who braved the elements competed in a sealed ninehole medal competition. The fairways and greens were very heavy after the recent rain, but in spite of this some fairly good cards were handed in. The winner was G. Spence, who was very fortunate in that holes where he played badly were not included. The best cards were: G. Spence, 42—10, 32; 3. Corbett, 39—4£, 34 N. Johnston, 42—7 i, 344; A. Darragh, 45 —9, 36; H. Keeley, 43—5, 38;. H. Hemphill, 44—5£, 384; R. Mentiplay, 46—7, 39.

MOORE-JONES SHIELD Tliis competition, a foursome bogey, was played during the weekend and the scores, particularly the men’s, were not as good as in previous years.
