POWER CHARGES.

USERS of current in the Thames Valley Electric Power Board’s district will probably be less concerned with why a reduction in various charges were made than with the fact that they are being made. The ■anxiety of members to make it clear that the recent deputation had nothing to do with the matter will probably cause the public to wonder if they do not “ protest too much.” Not only has a reduction been made, but an encouragement has been given that the present charges should not be regarded as absolute, and further reductions may be hoped for as times improve and revenue increases. What will be asked is why, if there is to be a reduction in motor power charges, it should be confined to milking and farm motors.
