Management Committee..
The weekly meeting of the management committee of the Matamata Rugby Union was attended on Tuesday by Messrs. J. E. Cummings (chairman), J. 11. Haw r es, R. G. Beaver, J. R. Whelan, W. D. L. Mac-. Donald and C. E. Barry (secretary)Cambridge Match.
The Cambridge Union wrote asking for a representative team to visit Cambridge on Saturday, August
On the motion of the chairman, it was decided to inform Cambridge that the committee regretted they could not send a team to Combridge on August 5, but that a team would be sent later in the season, if possible.
Matamata Club’s Request. The Matamata club wrote askingfor permission to use the trainingshed for a social evening. On the motion of Messrs. Hawes and Whelan, permission was granted.. No Auckland Match. The Auckland Rugby Union wrote advising that it very much regretted that owing to commitments it was> unable to arrange for a club team to be sent to Matamata this season.’ The chairman commented that such fixtures could only be arranged' either very early or very late in the season. Mr. Hawes remarked the committee should keep the matter in mind and apply very early next season.
Managers of Teams.
The following managers were appointed for Saturday: Mr. J. jjf, Hawes (seniors) and Mr. P. Lawrie(third grade).
Time of Cucksey Cup Game.
The chairman reported that Taupiri could not arrive in time for a curtain-raiser game so that the time of starting would have to be delayed to suit them.
No Roigard Cup Games. After a short discussion, it was decided not to arrange Roigard Cup matches for Saturday owing to the various games drawing so many players.

W The following team will represent" ~~ Matamata third grade representatives in the match against Taupiri thirds for the Cucksey Cup-:—Backs: Hawke (Hinuera); Wilson (Matamata), O’Brien (Patetere), McLean (Patetere); Roberts (High School), Strong (Patetere); Walsh (Hinuera). Forwards: Campbell (Patetere), Dobson (Matamata), Newton (Patetere), Egan (Matamata), Ryan (Waharoa), Pulman (Patetere), Tanner (High School), Were (Matamata). v
Emergencies. Backs: Wrathall (High School), Carter (Hinuera). Forwards: McCracken (Matamata), Fumiss (Matamata), Brown (Patetere).
