KIWITAHI RABBIT BOARD.
NO ELECTION NEEDED.
Members Returned Unopposed.
Only five nominations were received for the five seats on the newlyformed Kiwitahi Rabbit Board, which is to administer about 50,000 acres between Morrinsville and Walton.
The following have been declared elected unopposed: Messrs. R. G. Griffin (Starkey’s road), A. C. Ramsay (Tauwhare), W. A. Rushton (Kiwitahi road), F. N. Smith (Waterworks road) and W. Smith (Motumaoho quarry road). The board is required to hold its first meeting within a m'onth of the election.
Preliminary steps in the formation of the board were taken last spring, when meetings of settlers were held at jJCiwitahi, Tauwhare and Motumadhb tq discuss the rabbit nuisance, which was stated to be increasingly serious. , .
