Card Tournaments. The Cycle Club’s card tourneys continue to attract good attendances. Last week a team of players from Walton engaged the Waharoa representatives in a 500 challenge match. The Walton team were successful in defeating Waharoa in the aggregate points scored, while the prizes for individual scores went to a lady player from Walton and a man player of the Waharoa team. The usual weekly match on Monday evening resulted in a win for Mrs. Doleman (ladies) and Mr. S. Stephens (men). Personal. Mr. F. Wright, 'who recently met with painful injuries and who is a patient at a private hospital in Matamata, is making satisfactory progress, though he may be incapacitated for several weeks yet. Mr. and Mrs. R. L- Scott are spending a holiday in Auckland, and are the guests of their daughter, Mrs. E. Waite, of Dominion road. Misses R. and A. Kennedy, of Auckland, have been guests of their sister Mrs. J. S. Smith, of Waharoa, in the past week. Mrs. H. E. Roberts, late of Waharoa, and now of Manurewa, has been staying with Mrs. J. B. Wathen.
