There was much talk about times being hard, said Mr. A. Burns, chairman of the Auckland Education Board, when speaking at Walton last week, but the world was not coming to an end yet, and "times would come right. What was wanted was the restoration of confidence. People had lost confidence.. There was any amount of money in New Zealand, but people were hoarding it.. Consequently it was not going round as it ! should.
