ACTRESS AS ISLAND QUEEN.
A London girl, who in Edgar Wallace’s thrilling drama, “ The Plying Squad,” when it was produced in the West End, will soon be « Queen ” of the Island of Eleuthera, In the Bahamas. She will be the only white woman among a population of 8000. In the cathedral on the island of Nassau, in the Bahamas, the girl, Miss Juanita Ashton, was married last -month to Captain Montague StewartHayes, of Kingsbury, and also of Eleuthera. * The bridegroom is the eldest son of Mr William Montague Hayes and Mrs 'Hayes, of Kingsbury, land the bride is the daughter of Mrs Ashton, of Phillimore Terrace, South Wales. Mrs Ashton told a New Chronicle reporter in London: “My daughter left London on October 2nd on her 4000-mile journey to her wedding, and the honeymoon will consist of a motoring tour in the United States, •which will probably cover another 3000 miles.”
