Matamata. Mrs. Goodwin, of Matamata, returned on Saturday from a week s holiday in Auckland. Misses C. Geraghty and D. Egan, of Matamata, spent last week-end at Ngongotaha. _ . Mrs. L. Flower and Miss Tui Flower, of Matamata, left last Saturday for Warkworth. Mr. E. J. Carlquist. of Auckland, paid a, brief visit to, his aunt, Mrs. A. Stewart, of Matamata, last week. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Buchanan, of Matamata, leave for Clevedon tomorrow. , , , Mrs. H. E. Schofield, who has been nursing her mother in Auckland, has returned to Matamata. Mrs. Booth -and her son, of Hamilton, have been the guests of Mrs. G. W. Ross, of Matamata. Mrs. Connell, of Auckland, is the guest of her mother, Mrs. G. W. Ross, of Matamata. Miss Mina Barr, of Wellington, is spending an extended holiday with her cousin, Mrs. G. D’Ath, of Matamata. Mr. and Mrs. Hastings, of Papatoetoe, have returned to their home after a brief visit to their daughter, Mrs. G. D’Ath. Mrs. W. A. Turkington and the Misses B. and M. Turkington returned last week-end from six weeks holiday, the latter part of which was spent •at Pahiatua.,, Mrs. F. W. Hutchison and the Misses Dawn and Noel Hutchison, of Matamata, are spending a week’s holiday at Mount Maunganui, Tauranga. Mrs. A. M. Bygrave and her daughter, Mrs. A. J. Cowley, and Mr. Cowley, formerly of Matamata, who have latterly been residing at Mount Roskill and Herne Bay, have returned to Matamata and are now residing in Arawa street. '

Putaruru. Mrs. W. Pass is spending a holiday in Auckland. Miss Brougham is spending a holiday in Auckland. Mrs. Coupe i 3 spending a holiday in Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. J. Beca, of Sydney, are on a visit to Mr. Beca’s parents. Mr. and Mrs. Karlson, of Arapuni, spent the week-end at Kawhia. Mr. and Mrs. Hutton have returned from a holiday spent in Auckland. Mr. Delargey spent the week-end in Auckland.

Mrs. J. Collier, of Northcote, is spending a holiday in Lichfield, as the guest of her sister, Miss Kells. Miss Tate, of Kumeu, North Auckland, is spending a holiday with Mrs. J. Bomau, Lichfield. Mr. and Mrs. Anna and Mrs. Gardener, of Napier, have been on a visit to Mrs. Mullane. Mrs. T. Lawrence and Mrs. A. Reed left on Saturday for a holiday to be spent at Thames. Mrs. H. Robinson, who has been spending a holiday at Palm Beach, Waiheke, returned home last week. Mrs. Karl returned last week from a holiday spent at Palm Beach, Waiheke. _ Mr. and Mrs. W. Stewart, of Remiiera, have been on a visit to Mrs. J. Christie. Miss E. Rolfe and Miss Tuck have returned from a holiday spent in Wellington. ! Mrs. Barnett and family have returned ■•from a holiday spent at St. lieliers Bay. Mrs. Yandle and family, who have been spending a holiday at the Waihi Beach, returned home on Sunday. Mrs. J. Davis, of Cambridge, is on a visit to Putaruru as the guest of Mrs. J. Francis. Mrs. G. Gifford, of Te Awamutu, was a visitor to. Putaruru during the week-end. Miss McCarroll and Miss Wallace, who have been on a motor tour, returned to Putaruru last week.

Mrs. R. Lewis and her two daughters, of Hamilton, were visitors to Putaruru last week. Mrs. and:Miss Kittow, very old residents 4bl Tirau, have returned after three and a-half years in the Old Country, and are now staying with Mrs. W. Price, at Tirau, for six weeks, before returning to England.
