ON THE SCREEN.
MATAMATA. The British Dominion film version of “The Forger,” which originally appeared as a serial in the London Daily Mail, and is to be shown at Matamata oi Friday next, is notable not only for being Edgar Wallace’s most thrilling ktory, but because it is portrayed by an exceptionally clever cast of well-known artists, headed by popular Lilian Rich. Said to be the best underworld picture turned out for some time, “ The Tip-off,” a thrill feature starring William Cody, will be shown at Matamata Town Hall next Saturday. It has met with the whole-hearted acclaim of critics who have viewed it at previous showings.
