The opinion was expressed that ?fche registration of all side showmen proposed by the Auckland Association would mitigate the evil, and after some further remarks the subject was dropped, it being generally •agreed that many of those running aide shows were undesirable and no .asset to a show ground. Another statement made was that *the executive would he well-advised to ask for the services of an extra policeman next year, and this suggestion was noted for future action.
