CRICKET DANCE.
A SUCCESSFUL EVENING.
There can be no doubt that the dance conducted by the Matamata Cricket Club in the Town Hall on Tuesday was the most successful function yet held by the club, and the financial position should be greatly improved by the venture. s The hall was comfortably filled, and excellent music was provided by Mr. Stan Holland’s orchestra, while extras were rendered by Mrs. Mehrtens and Miss K. Darragh. Mr. li. \ Mehrtens proved a most capable’ M.C. < During the evening a number of competitions were carried out, Mrs. Dale,: and Mr. Landells winning the Monte Carlo and Miss A. Hintz and Mr. Reed the spot waltz. A sit-down supper was provided, the tables being decorated with pink and mauve streamers. . . j
