BRAEBURN AT HOME.

FAREWELL TO MISS CLELAND. A very enjoyable evening was held at Braeburn on Tuesday, when the residents of the hotel joined together in farewelling Miss Cleland, who has left for Wanganui. Music, games and competitions were indulged in, all present enjoying themselves thoroughly. A dainty bedroom clock was presented to Miss Cleland by Mr. Schofiqld, who in a happy little speech expressed the regrets of all those present in losing her, as she had made herself very popular at Braeburn. Miss Cleland suitably replied, and after a delightful supper was dispensed the evening closed with “ Auld Lang Syne ” and three hearty cheers for Miss Cleland. .

A Keen Choir Member.

Appreciation of Miss Cleland’s work in connection with the Presbyterian Choir and Bible Class was expressed by Rev. A. C. "Hampton at the Presbyterian sale of work on Thursday evening. Rev. Hampton, on behalf of the church members, eulogised Miss Cleland’s : work and wished her future happiness and prosperity. Miss Cleland suitably replied’.
