HOLD-UP MEN.
CRIPPLE ATTACKED. Valuable Ring Stolen. Four hold-up men robbed an invalid, Patrick Rogers, of Milburn, New Jersey, ol : a diamond ring wort’ 5500 dolrars and took a signet ring and cash from Morris Gobstub, Rogers’ attendant, when they broke into his home last night. 4 Gobstub and Rogers were held up by pistols in the hands of two of the thugs and Rogers, when he sought to get his own pistol, was knocked unconscious. Rogers, who is crippled, had gone to bed at 9' o’clock, and his wife and son were visiting neighbours. Four men were at the door when Gobstub answered the bell and two drew pistols which they stuck in Gobstub’s ribs They threw a newspaper over .his head and forced him to tell them where Rogers was. Rogers tried to resist being bound, but was knocked unconscious. Thereupon the four ransacked the house and stole Rogers’ diamond ring and some cash. They took Gobstuli’s cash and a signet ring, tied the two men up, gagged them and departed When Gobstub wriggled loose he freed Rogers anti tri'ed to get the police, but the telephone wire was cut.
