TRANSPORT LICENSING.
A meeting of the Transport Licensing Authority was held in Queenstown yesterday, before Mr F. G. Craig, for the purpose of reviewing Goods Service licenses, with, a view to conserving petrol and promoting co-ordination. The following cases were dealt with and decisions given: H. Davies (Queenstown) and J. Shaw (Arrowtown)—licenses unaltered and the Question of petrol allowance reserved for further consideration • t H. C. Buck ham. no alteration in License or petrol allocation • H. J. H. Lewis (Long Gully), no altaretion in license and the decision re allocation was reserved; A. M. Ritchie (Arrowtown). the decision on both points was reserved. The- Authority expressed himself as inclined to favour coordination in this case. In making a few general remarks, the Authority stressed the fact that it was most necessary to conserve petrol consumption as much as possible and to eliminate waste.
