COMBINED SUNDAY SCHOOLS PICNIC

'Queenstown was a quiet town tn Thursday when practically all the children and over 300 a idulta (507 in all) Joined in the combined Sunday schools picnic to M,t. Nicholas. The “Eamslaw” left the town wharf at 10 a.m., and arrived at Mt- Nicholas! in little over an hour.

A chilly breeze and a shower of rain drove many of fthe picnickers', to the shelter of the “Earnsiaw,” and although the weather cleared ■. soon afterwards the majority of the children found plenty to interest and amuse them on board.

Prior to tie -1 departure of the ship from Mt. Nicholas at .4 p.m-, the Rev. I>. K- Doyd briefly expressed the thanks of the picnickers to Messrs' Mackenzie Brothers for their muchappreciated hospitality, and called jor three cheers' for the Mackenzie families.
