CORRESPONDENCE.
(To the Editor). iSir,—lt says little for the focal railway authorities that they should allow “close on 400 people to wend *heir way through a small sheet of water that was lying,.at the immediate entrance to the wharf on Sunday last. Owing to the passage way being closed in there was no alternative butto wade through the water or hop over it. Surely the restrictions brought about by the 40-hour week could have been waived in the interests of the comfort of visitors to the town. It was an unpardonable oversight, and I hope my humble effusion will have the effect of remedying the matter in the future. I am, etc., ____ TOURIST. .
