Nisbet of Dunedin are making their annual visit to Queenstown. Mr and Mrs Carl Buhen of Dunedin have come to Queenstown for the holidays.

Mr J. P. Menzies and his family Of Su'mner, are re-visiting Queenstown for the summer vacation.

Mr and Mrs H. H. Holliman of Invercargill are spending their holidays im Queenstown as the guests of Mrs Pettersson.

Gillman and their daughter, of Dunedin, are among campers on the public .'camping ground.* Mr and Mrs Mark Silverstone and Miss Silverstone are spending the Xmas holidays in Queenstown. Mr Evans, P.W. engineer, and his family tare in camp for the Xmas arid New Year holidays.. A party consisting of Mr and Mrs J. Jenkins. Mr and Mrs E. Jenkins, Mr Arthur Jenkins and Miss Perry of Dunedin arc .spending a camping holiday in Queenstown. _ The Jenkins family were’former residents of Arrowtown.

Mr and Mrs Jas. Mans on of Invercargill are spending their holidays in Queenstown. Mr and Mrs J. Ellison of Dunedin have gone to Walter Peak to be the guests of Major Mackenzie over the holidays. Miss Macintosh, Akaroa. is spending a holiday as the guest of her sister, Mrs P. Martin-Smith. Mr and Mrs T. Allan left for Dunedin on Fridav. to spend a holiday. Mr and Mrs C. 11. McKay and Miss Lai. McKay left on Friday for a holiday at- Kaka Point.

Mr and Mrs Stroud ami family, Invercargill, arc in their residence, Marine Parade, for a few weeks. Miss M. Mayhew, Invercargill, is visiting Queenstown for the Christmas and New Year holidays. Mr and Mrs J. Todd and family are visiting Riverton for the Centenary celebrations.

Mrs and Misis Piddington, Dunedin, are in their residence, Western Terrace for a few weeks. Mrs Thos. MeSoriiey and small daughter, Invercargill, are the guests of Mr and Mrs T. McSoiiloy for the Christmas holidays. Mrs Barnett and family, Dunedin, are in their residence for the holidays; Mr G. F. Watson, Invercargill, is visiting Queenstown for the Christmas and New Year holidays. Mr and Mrs P. W. J. Cockerill and family have left for 'Gore for a few weeks Mr W. McKenzie left on Friday for a visit to his parents, Mr and Mrs H. Mackenzie, Mossburn. Mr and Mrs J. E. Morris, WaianaJkarua, are the guests of Mi- ami Mrs G. D, Morris for the Christmas holidays.

Mr and Mrs C. S. Stewart and faintly, of Invercargill, are in residence in a cottage on Queenstown Hill.

Messrs W. J. Harris, H. Butts and R. Challis, of Invercargill, are spending the New Year holidays' in Queenstown. Mr and Mrs R. Gilkison and family of Wellington, erstwhile residents of Queenstown, arc spending a holiday here.

The Misses Wilkin of Dunedin, and Miss McCutehis-on, Gore, are the guests of Mrs Alex. Mackenzie, Mt, Nicholas. Mrs Leslie Wilson of Dunedin is the guest of the Misses Geisow, Church Street. Missi Muriel Deslandes of Wellington is spending the Xmas and New Year holidays in Queenstown. Mr J. Gray of Invercargill is camping in Queenstown. He is accompanied by Mr B. Clarke of Invercargill and Mr C. Come of Napier. (Mr and Mrs G. Hicks, and Mr rind Mrs E. Parsons of Bluff are spending a camping holiday in the district. Nurse Glare at 'one time matron of the Lake County Hospital, paid a visit to Queenstown during the weekend.

Mr W. Mayne and sou, West Coast, are visiting relatives' in Queenstown. Mr Mayne" is an erstwhile resident of Queenstown.

Dr. Soper, of the Otago University, accompanied by his wife and family, are camping at Frank!on. Miss Louie Cochrane and Miss Las McDonald of Invercargill, motored through to Queenstown for the New Year holidays. They were the guests of Mr and Mrs W. A. Stewart. Mr and Mrs Ardagh and family of Christchurch, are the guests of the Eev. Father Ardagh. Mr and Mrs W. H. Berry and family of Invercargill, are visiting Queenstown for the holidays. Lady Stanton Hicks (Adelaide), Mrs K. de Oourcy Low (Christchurch), Mrs Lilian Williams and daughter, Annette, Dunedin, will be the guests of Mr and Mrs John Haggitt. Mcßride, Dunedin, is spending her annual leave with her parents Mr and Mrs J. J. Mcßride. Mr and Mrs H. Bout, Invercargill are the guests of Mr and Mrs I. Jenkins for the holidays. Miss L. Thompson, Balclutha, and Miss Joan Mcßride are the guests of tiie Misses Fitzpatrick, Arthurs Pt. for a few days. Miss Violet Eoycroft, Dunedin, is spending a holiday with her parents, Mr and Mrs Eoycroft. Eev. Father A. Gavin, Invercargill, is staying with his mother, Mrs M. Gavin, for a few days. Mr and Mrs J. Dwyer, Invercargill, were the guests of Mr and Mrs T. J. Dwyer, for Christmas. (Messrs J. Sherwood and I, .Campbell, Milton, are in the local camping ground for the holidays. Mr F. Gardiner, Mosgiol, was the guest of his sister, Mrs J. O. Oockburn for Christmas. t Mr Bruce Inglis, Wellington, is staying with his father Mr 0. M. Eodenque left lor Invercargill on Monday for a few days. , „ Mr and Mrs A. Ives and family are spending a holiday at Port Chalmers as the guests of Mr Ives’ parents. _ Mr G. Turner, Lower Shotoyer, is spending a few days in Dunedin. Mr and Mrs E. McLean, Nokomai, were the guests of Mrs P. McCormick, Oloseburn Station, for Christmas. Mr F. G Duncan, Dunedin, accompanied by Miss P. Duncan and Mr Duncan, are camping at Franktou over the holidays. Mr and Mrs E. E. Nichol and family, Bluff, are visitors to the camping ground for the holidays. Mr Jas. Fra-her spent a few days in Dunedin last week.

Mrs Whelan, Dune dint, is the guest of Mr and Mrs J. Eraser for a few " Misses E. Brack and B. Greig, Wanganui, are spending the holidays in tlie Lakes district.

Miss Eileen Dagg is spending the holidays at Kurow as the guest of Mr and Mrs W. Collins. The Eev. J. N. Goodman, vicar of Wakatipu, has received word of Ms transfer to Taicri Plains as from Ist March next. The Rev. J. C. Fussed of the Auckland diocese, will succeed the Eev. Goodman, and takes charge of the parish as from the middle of March. Mr and Mrs A. Lobb returned on. Tuesday to Timaru after spending the Xmas and New Year holidays in Queenstown. Mr and Mrs J. Percy, Lu'msden, Miss Molly Percy, Mr Geo. Fergusson, Grcymoutii, Mr and Mrs T. K. -Millar and young son, Waimahaka, Mr Eoiu Percy and Mr Geo. Goodhart, Invercargill, are the guests of Miss Esther Percy, Melbourne St., for the holidays. Miss Gwendoline Hoddinott. elder daughter of Mr and Mrs Hoddinott, former residents of Queenstown, is included in the New Year honours as an M.B.E- Miss Hoddinott has devoted the past 21 years of her life to the Plunket Society, of -which she is Dominion secretary and treasured*.
