LOCAL AND GENERAL.
Those . interested are reminded that the Arrow town Citizens’ Ball, will be held in the Atheneum Hall on Friday evening next. We understand that tickets are going off freely, and the function promises to be a big success. The usual fortnightly social was held in St. Patrick’s schoolroom on Friday evening, when there was a good attendance. Euchre prizes were won by Miss Feebly and Mr G. Summers, junr., while the consolation prizes were awarded to Miss E. Oakes and Mr M. Fitzpatrick. Supper was provided by the ladies, after which dancing was indulged in. Crown Terrace still retains its reputation as a barley-growing centre. For this season Mr S. Jenkins, with an average of 89 bushels to the acre, again heads the list for that locality with 1120 bags of barley.
