Mr P. Butel, “Mill Farm," Arrowtown, left on Friday to attend the Grand National meeting at Christchurch.
Air and Mrs J. K. Snell and their son Royce are at present on a holiday visit to Christchurch.
The death occurred at his residence, “The Grange,” Kapuka, Southland, on the 2nd inst., of Mr James Milne, a well-known and popular resident of Southland, in his 74th year. Many years ago deceased held the lease of FernhiLl Station, Lake Wakatipu. He was a brother of Mr William Mine, Arrowtown.
