The Minister lor Industries and Commerce (Hon. D. G. Sullivan) has issued a warning that any woollen goods offered for sale at absurdly low prices should be carefully examined to see whether these are true to the description given by the seller. The warning is given in the interests of local manufacturers who have established a reputation tor high-class woollen goods. In one case brought under his notice it was found on examiuition of the garment offered offered for sale and described as allwool that it contained less than 5 per cent. wool. A consignment of sheep for Korea, where the Japanese Government has established a breeding station, will betaken aboard the O.S.K. Lino’s freighter, Sydney Maru, when she calls at Lyttelton early in August. Several hundred of the stud variety have already left for Yuki .(Korea) by the Brisbane Maru from the same port.
