MISS HELEN WILL ROBERTSON.
A very old and much esteemed resident of Frankton. in the person of Miss Helen Will Robertson, passed away at the Frankton hospital on Wednesday last. Deceased, who was 71 years of age, had lived almost all her life at Frankton. She came to the district, from Timaru, with her parents, Mr and Mrs James EoEobertson, in 1869, in a 11-horse team waggon, her father having been appointed miller at Robertson and Co's stone flour mills, which were established in the mid sixties. The hue Miss Robertson did not enjoy good health in latter years and she eventually had to go into hospital for treatment. She, however, bore her illness with Christian fortitude right up till the last. Deceased devoted her time principally to the care of her parents in their lifetime. She was a faithful member of St. Andrew’s Preshy;erian Church ami was a Sunday School teacher for close on 40 years. Deceased was a woman of lofty ideals and simple faith and one who never forgot her allegiance to a Higher Power. Her hand was ever stretched out to give succour. The labs Miss Robertson was the second eldest of five surviving members of the Robertson family.
Her sisters are Mrs Thos. Spear (Hot)- * sonville), Mrs S. Lind (Auckland), ‘ Miss Joan C. Robertson (Frankton) I and Mr Wm. Robertson (Pongoroa). I The funeral took place on Thursday, the remains being interred in the Frankton cemetery. The Rev. D. K. Boyd, officiated.
