LOCAL AND GENERAL.
The annual meeting of members of the Arrow Bowling Club was held on Friday evening, when Messrs J. tV. Eeed and E. J. Saunders were re-elected president and secretary respectively. Full report next week. There was a wash-up at Hamilton's hydraulic claim, Big Beach, Arrow Elver, on Wednesday last, when, it is reported, a satisfactory return was obtained. This claim and plant has now been taken over on lease by Messrs A. B. Hamilton and J. H. Douglas. At the annual meeting oi the Arrow Bowling Club on Friday evening, the President (Mr J. W. Eeed) referred to the death, during the year, of Mr P. A. de la Perrelle, who was a foundation member of the old Club and who was patron of the Club up to the time of his- death. A motion of sympathy with the relatives was passed in the customary manner.
