CRICKET.
ARROW v CARDRONA. A team from the Cardrona club visited Arrowtown on Saturday and played a friendly match against a local eleven. Several of Arrow's leading players were absent, their places being taken by juniors. The Cardrona team also included several young players. Arrow batted first and were disposed of for 47 runs by A. Galvin. Flynn, who was one of the opening batsmen, was top score with 16 (not out). J. Snell (12), was the only other bastman to reach double figures, his score being the result of six hits. Cardrona replied with 99, D. Scurr (26), W. Torrey (19), and J. Scurr (17) being the principal run-getters. Cardrona thus won by 52 runs. In a second strike Arrow did much better, losing only five wickets for .50 runs. D. Thompson (16) and Richmond (14), reaching double figures. The following are the scores:—
