PERSONAL.
v Mr Walter Kinross, of Gibbston, left on Saturday Last for Wellington, where he will join the steamer Makura for Sydney. From Sydney Mr Kinross' will go for a ten week's’ cruise in the Nankin to China and and Japan, calling at Rabaul, Manila, Hongkong, Shanghai, and _ five ports in Japan. Mr Thomas Kinross ■accompanied his brother to Wellington.
M.© G. Summers, who had been under treatment at the Southland Hospital for some weeks .past, returned to Anrowtown on Friday last. Mr W. J. Richmond, of the local post office staff, is at present on his annual holiday leave. Mr S. Miles, ot the Queenstown, office, is in bis place. Mr and Mrs C. G. Forbes and family left Arrowtown yesterday morning for the Hakataramea, where Mr Forbes has taken over the Terminus Hotel.
Mr Milton Ferguson, of the staff of the Wellington G.P.0., is at present/ on a visit to relatives in Arrowtown. iie is staying with his cousin, Mrs J. M. Butel, “Wiliowbank.”
