WEDDING.

THOMSON —KINROSS. A quiet but pretty wedding was celebrated at the N.E. Valley Presbyterian Church last Wednesday morning, 20th April, the contracting parties being Bessie, youngest daughter 1 of the late Mr and Mrs T. Kinross, I Gibbsiton, and Thomas Arthur, young-1 ©Sit son of the late Mr and Mrs T. Thomson, of “Meadowlea,” Winton. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. M Jackson, of Cheviot (late of Arrowtown). The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr Walter Kinross, wore a frock of white georgette and lace over pale pink, with a pink crinoline hat, and she carried a bouquet ot pink flowers and maiden hair fern. She was attended by her sister, Miss Helen Kinross tvs bridesmaid, who wore pale green taffeta and lace, with a green felt hat, and carried a bouquet of bronze chrysanthemums. The bride’s two small nieces, Mavis and Rita Kinross, acted as flower girls. They were dressed in lavender satin, and carried posies of pink and lavender sweet peas. # Mr Mark Shaw, of Invercargill, performed the duties of best man. The guests were afterwards entertained at the Strand Salon. The bridegroom’s gift to the bride was a double string of pearls and a dressing case. To the bridesmaid he gave a gold wristlet watch, and to the flower girls a small! hand-bag each. The bride’s present to the bridegroom was a narrow gold albert, and to the best man a fountain pen. The happy couple left later by motor for the north, the bride travelling in a navy satin frock, with a navy felt hat, and a brown fur coat, with brown shoes and stockings. Mr and Mrs Thomson’s future home will be “Meadowlea," Winton.
