The annual meeting of the Arrow Irrigation League will be held in Council Chambers, Arrowtown, on Saturday afternoon next, at the conclusion of the Lake County A. and 1 • Society’s meeting. Eight applications were received by the Otago Land Board for the Galloway experimental farm, until it cently conducted by the Fields Division of the Department of Agriculture. The property contains 148 acres, and is situated alongside the Gallow ay railway station, and about five miles from Alexandra. The halfyearly rental is £l3 10s, and the property ig weighted with £1629 valuation for improvements, the amount being payable in instalments. The applications were considered by the Land Board at its meeting held m Dunedin on AVednesday last.
