Miss Mary Homans, of the Public Trust oflice, Stratford, has been transferred on promotion to the Blenheim office.
Miss Norah Fitzgibbon, of Arrow Junction, who has been appointed matron of the Karitane Hospital, left Arrowtown on Friday last to take up the position.
Mr W. H. Thompson, of “Eoyalburn,” Grown Terrace, left yester lay on a visit to Dunedin.
Miss Thirza Warring, who had been on a visit to friends in Southland, returned home last week. The death occurred at his home, Palmerston South, ou the 23th ult. of Mr George Roberts, who was well known to many in this district He was a frequent visitor to the Lake County A. and P. Show, being at one time the owner of the jumping horse Puzzle. Deceased was 50 years ol age.
