Cardrona Notes.
(From Oar Own Oormspondent). Not for many years has there been such a long spell of abnormally cold weather, storm after storm keeping low country covered with snow and the higher country under a deep coating of it. The road over the Crown llange is blocked to all traffic causing us to experience a very lean and dull time in the Cardrona Valley. However, everybody is up and doing, hoping for a good and early spring. . .Flocks are all reported to be in good condition and out of the deep snow, and most of the flock owners have been well olf for the winter feed, which is good to know. In spite of the severe winter weatner, social evenings are held every three weeks, and are well pat-_ ionised and much enjoyed, in spite of the cold journey home at the close ol the gatherings. The marriage of the daughter of a very old resident of Cardrona to a North Islander is to be solemnised here at the end of August.
