CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING.
The Wakatipu Gun club held trophy competitions on the last two Wednesdays. The first was for a trophy given by the club—a 9-bird shoot, in this competition L. Curtis (15yds) and D. Hamilton (11yds) broke 8 out of nine birds and in the shoot oil' Hamilton was the winner. Other scores were: Dr Anderson (13), 6; J. Mc.Mullan (11), 5; H. Boss (11), o;
la the second competition for Mr A. Harrington’s trophy (12 birds), L. Curtis (15yds), 10 and H. Ross (11 yds), 10 (including 3 stars), tied and in the first miss out the latter became the winner. Other scorns were: Dr Anderson (13). 9; J. McMullan (11), 8; D. Hamilton (12), 7; J. Mun.ro (16), 5.
