Harvesting is still in progress .being unusually late owing to the wet season. Mr D. E. Gray, lines foreman, is still busy with the cable over the Dart between Glenorchy and Kinloch which, when finished, will be a great boon to the Routeburn set fliers^ Mr Adam Hume is still making good progress and is now able to get about a little. His many friends wish him ,a steady recovery. "Miss Barbara Carr, of Paradise recfqitly met with rather, a painful accident whilst riding , a yjxotor cycle, which necessitated her removal to Queenstown for medical attention. She is now making good headway, Mrs Lyons, an old-time resident of Glenorchy, with her niece. Miss Lyons; - has been spending a few weeks at Paradise. They returned to Invercargill last week. The Rev. J. S. Murray St. Andrew’s. Queenstown, held services at Rees Valley and Glenorchy last Sunday. (The Rev. H, Ryburn and his bride have been staying at Paradise, but have now returned to Dunedin. Mr Douglas Scott has returned to Glenorchy to settle on the Rees Valley station. Mr R. Paulin recently arrived at Glenorchy to take up prospecting in the Dart. Mr Ray Nicoll has been paying a short visit to Glenorchy. A party from Southland are deer stalking in the Routeburn Valley. It is reported that they have secured one or two good heads.
