ARROW ANGLERS CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of members of the Arrow Anglers’ Club was held in the Club rooms, Arrowtown, on Monday evening, 29th ult. Present; Messrs W. H. Jamas (vice-president, in the fchair), J. H. Douglas, T. Kinross, W . Kinross, T. Scott, 1L Scott, A. Erridge, and T. Johnston (lion, secretary.). Rev. W. W. Powell (president) wrote stating that owing to a prior engage2ment he regretted he would not be able to attend the meeting. He also intimated that he did re-election to the office of president, as he did not have the necessary‘time to devote to the position. He wished the club every success In the future. The secretary was instructed to write Air Powell conveying the Club’s regret "at 'las not being able to take the office of president, and thanking him for the keen interest he had taken in' the affairs of the Club during the time lie had filled the office. The balance sheet, which was adopted, showed a credit of £1 5s 4d. The following office-bearers were elected:—President, Air AY. H. James; vice-president, Air J. H. Douglas; secretary and treasurer, Air T. Johnston; committee, Alessrs T. Kinross, W. Kinross, T. Scott, E. Scott, and A. Erridge. Air James moved the motion, of which he had given notice at a previous meeting—That the name of the Club be changed to “Arrow Eod and Gun Club.”—Seconded by Air T. Scott and carried. It was decided that the first competition be held on Labour Day, October 27th, commencing at 2 p.m. fish to be weighed in at Air Douglas’ Lake residence at 9 (pi.m. An entry fee of 2,s will be charged, and a trophy will be presented by the Club. Entries to close with the secretary at -8 p.m. on Saturday, 25th October. The secretary was instructed to procure a miniature cup for presentation to Air B. Buchanan, the winner of the Acclimatisation Society’s Cup last season. The president vice-president, and secretary were appointed a committee to revise the rules for the Lakes District Acclimatisation Society’s Cup competition. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chair.
