Stronach, Morris and Co., Ltd., re- ■ port for week ending Thursday, i 18th September, 1930, as 'followsl Fat Cattle.—There was a fair sized | entry, 287 being'forward. A good proportion of it consisted o/fl medium , quality cattle, with a few pens of extra prime steers. Competition was not so 'keen, and prices were easier by about 15s a head on last sale’s rates. Extra prime heavy bullocks to £22 15s, prime heavy £lO to £U 10s, medium £l3 10s to £ls 10s, light from £ll upwards, extra prime heifers to £l7 7s 6d, prime £l3 to £ll 10s, medium cows £lO to £l2 10s, light from £8 upwards. Fat Sheep. —There was a fairly large entry, 2,727 being forward. There was a good proportion of prime wethers and also a number of pens of good heavy butchers’ ewes. Competition was slack, and prices were easier by 3s a head on last sale s rates. Extra prime heavy wethers | 31s (Id to 39s 6d, prime heavy _ 30s to 345, medium 25s to 28s 6d, light from £1 upwards, extra prime heavy ewes to 29s 9d, prime 23s to Gd, medium to good 19s to 225, light from 16s upwards. Figs, —-There was a small yarding of fat' pigs. These met with good competition, and were Irom a par to a shade easier. Store frigs were also easier. Oats.—The market is quiet and ‘A’ grade Cartons are bringing up to 3s 3d on trucks country sidings, sacks extra. Wheat.—There is practically no milling wheat ottering, and fowl wheat meets with fair demand at up to Gs (;d ex store, Dunedin, sacks extra. Potatoes.—Sufficient consignments are coming to hand for the local demand, and prime tables are bringing tup to £1 (7s Gd. ex radii, Dunedin, sacks/ in.

Chaff—Consignments have been on the light side, and there is a good enquiry for prime bright oaten sheaf, which is bringing up to £5 10s ex truck, Dunedin. Habbitskins.—We held our usual fortnightly rabbitskin sale on Tuesday last, and offered a fair sized catalogue to a full attendance of buyers . Competition was keen, and prices all round showed an advance of fully 2d to Id per lb. on late ruling rates. The Otago Farmers’ Co.-operative Association of New Zealand Limited .held their fortnightly sale before a full bench of buyers, when a medium sized catalogue was offered to good competition.
