LADIES' SECTION. Last Thursday a team of six ladies visited Cromwell and played a match against the Cromwell ladies, the latter winning by four games to two. Mrs Eliott and Mrs Curtis won their tr am es. After the match afternoon tea was served by the Cromwell ladies. and altogether the outing was most enjoyable. With the number of young players improving their games, it should be possible next year to take over a larger team. Saturday’s match was postponeuon account of rain, and the second qualifying round will now be played during this week. Players will be notified as to date. On Saturday next a Club button will be plaved for. The following 'is the draw:—Mis Elliot 18 v Miss N.
